Full Truckload
A full truckload is where the freight takes up the whole trailer (or not) but the customer pays for the whole use of the trailer. Transit times are usually best with full truckloads.
Partial Truckload
A partial truckload, sometimes called an LTL (‘less than truckload’ but not moving on common carrier motor freight), is a smaller shipment moving at a reduced freight charge. Transit time will take longer than a full truckload and there is also the possibility of the freight being moved or transferred en route.
